Your Clinical Facilitator

The person who sits with you matters as much as the medicine itself. Every client relationship at The Psychedelic Therapy Den begins with Michael P. Biggans, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Natural Medicine Clinical Facilitator, who conducts your initial consultation and coordinates your care from start to finish, whether he serves as your facilitator or connects you with a trusted licensed colleague.

Our Philosophy of Facilitation

The Facilitator–Client Relationship Is Central to Everything

Psilocybin work asks a lot of a person. It requires safety, trust, and a facilitator with the clinical training and steadiness to hold whatever arises. That relationship is not an afterthought here; it is the foundation the entire process is built on.

Michael leads every client relationship, beginning with a free consultation call where you discuss your history, your goals, and any preferences you have. From there, he sets up your process and matches you with the right facilitator. For most clients that will be Michael himself. For others, it may be one of the trusted, licensed facilitators he works with and clinically supervises. Either way, Michael remains your point of contact and the clinical lead behind your care.

Connecting Mind, Body & Spirit

Michael P. Biggans is a Colorado-based therapist and psilocybin facilitator who works with people ready to explore the deeper layers of psychotherapy and spiritual integration. Before founding The Psychedelic Therapy Den and writing The Psychedelic Self, Michael was a trial attorney. That background in advocacy informs everything he does today, except now he's helping his clients connect with their Self and find internal liberation.

Michael believes that many of our psychological burdens are actually barriers to our spiritual essence. After his own transformative experiences with psychedelic medicine, he transitioned from the courtroom to the therapy room, helping others clear the trauma that keeps them disconnected from their own Self energy.

He is known for being a calm, authentic guide who can translate complex, inexplicable experiences into practical healing. By blending evidence-based methods, including IFS, ERP, and ACT, with the lived experience of a spiritual seeker, Michael helps clients navigate treatment-resistant depression, addiction, anxiety, and C-PTSD.

Michael is an adventurer, explorer, and animal lover who views psilocybin as a catalyst for reconnecting with the truths that make life worth living. His approach combines the analytical mind of a former litigator, someone who can help you think through the hard questions, with the clinical wisdom to know when the real work is learning to unhook from your thoughts altogether.

"Many of our psychological burdens are actually barriers to our spiritual essence. This work is about clearing what stands between a person and their own truest Self."

How It Works

One Point of Contact, The Right Facilitator for You

Every client begins the same way: a free consultation call with Michael. He conducts the initial intake, answers your questions, and helps determine whether psilocybin therapy is an appropriate next step. From there, he sets up your process and coordinates every phase of your care.

For most clients, Michael also serves as their facilitator through preparation, the session, and integration. The practice is growing, though, and Michael works alongside a small group of trusted, licensed facilitators he supervises clinically. Depending on scheduling, fit, and your preferences, your facilitator may be Michael or one of these colleagues. In every case, Michael remains your point of contact and provides clinical oversight throughout.
